asus-rp-be58-be3600-wifi-7-dual-band-range-extender
ASUS RP-BE58 BE3600 WiFi 7 Dual-Band Range Extender

The ASUS RP-BE58 BE3600 WiFi 7 Dual-Band Range Extender is built for households that need to push WiFi coverage into rooms or floors where the main router falls short. It brings WiFi 7 (802.11be) dual-band connectivity — with speeds up to 3600 Mbps and Multi-Link Operation across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz — and works with virtually any router already in the home. It also supports AiMesh, letting it join an existing ASUS mesh network as a node rather than acting purely as a standalone extender.

Why This Product

WiFi 7 with up to 3600 Mbps — Operating on 802.11be, it reaches up to 2882 Mbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, with 4096-QAM improving single-band throughput by up to 1.2 times over earlier generations.

Multi-Link Operation for stable transfers — MLO lets it connect across both bands simultaneously, reducing dropped connections and spreading traffic more evenly during busy periods.

160 MHz channel support — Wide 160 MHz channels deliver higher data rates and lower latency compared with standard 80 MHz operation, supporting more devices at once.

AiMesh node compatibility — When paired with a compatible ASUS AiMesh router, it operates as a mesh node rather than a standalone extender, sharing a single network name and roaming configuration across the home.

Wired backhaul in AP and AiMesh modes — Connecting it to the router via the Gigabit Ethernet port frees both wireless bands entirely for client devices, improving overall throughput and reliability.

App-based setup — Initial configuration is handled through the ASUS Router app or ASUS Extender app, avoiding the need to log into a web interface manually.

At a Glance

WiFi Standard

WiFi 7 (802.11be)

Max Speed

3600 Mbps (688 Mbps + 2882 Mbps)

Bands

Dual-band (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz)

Coverage

Up to 2,200 sq. ft.

LAN Port

1× Gigabit RJ45

Operating Modes

Range extender, Access point, Media bridge

AiMesh

Supported (node)

Weight

224 g

Compatibility

✓ Works with virtually all WiFi routers, modems and cable routers in range-extender mode — no ASUS hardware required.

✓ Supports AiMesh node mode with compatible ASUS AiMesh routers for a unified mesh network.

✓ Backward-compatible with WiFi 6 (802.11ax), WiFi 5 (802.11ac), WiFi 4 (802.11n), 802.11g, 802.11b and 802.11a devices.

✓ Supports IPv4 and IPv6 networks.

Note: Wired backhaul via the single Gigabit LAN port is available only in Access Point mode or as an AiMesh node — not in standard range-extender mode.

Note: App setup requires the ASUS Router app or ASUS Extender app;
