Acer HL1810U Ultra Short Throw 4K DLP Projector 1000 Lumens
The Acer HL1810U is an ultra short throw 4K DLP projector built for living rooms and home theatres where space is tight. Its RGB laser light source delivers vivid colour depth and sustains 24/7 operation, while the compact throw ratio lets you place it just centimetres from the screen.
Why this product
4K native resolution with laser brightness
UHD 4K (3840×2160) native resolution with 1000 ANSI lumens in standard mode, powered by a 40-watt RGB laser for rich colour and deep blacks.
Ultra short throw — 0.25:1 ratio
Projects a 303-inch image from just 14.88 metres away, or smaller images from under 1 metre. Ideal for rooms where a traditional projector won't fit.
Gaming-ready: 240 Hz at 1080p
Supports 1080p at 240 Hz refresh rate with variable refresh rate (VRR) and low input lag, making it viable for fast-paced gaming despite its 4K focus.
Laser longevity: 20,000–30,000 hours
RGB laser source rated for 20,000 hours standard or 30,000 hours in Eco mode—roughly 5–10 years of typical home use with no bulb replacements.
Auto focus and flexible mounting
Automatic or manual focus adjustment, plus ceiling, front, and rear projection modes with four-corner correction for keystone distortion.

Best for
- Home cinema enthusiasts with limited throw space
- Gamers wanting 4K image with 240 Hz refresh-rate support at lower resolution
- 24/7 installations in shops, galleries, or digital signage
- Rooms with permanent projector mounting (ceiling or rear)
Trade-offs
- Bright environments: 1000 lumens is insufficient for rooms with ambient light or outdoor projection.
- Small, mobile setups: Requires fixed installation and careful alignment; not a portable or quick-setup projector.
- Budget-conscious buyers: RGB laser projectors command a premium; this is an investment-tier product.
