AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995WX 96-Core sTR5 Processor
The AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995WX is a 96-core workstation processor built for professionals running demanding parallel workloads like 3D rendering, video editing, scientific simulation, and large-scale data processing. With 192 threads and a 5.4 GHz boost clock, it delivers the raw compute power needed to compress timelines on tasks that would bottleneck conventional CPUs.
Why this product
96 cores and 192 threads
Extreme parallelism handles hundreds of simultaneous tasks, critical for rendering farms, batch processing, and multi-threaded professional software.
Zen 5 architecture at 4nm
Latest-generation process and instruction set deliver both raw throughput and per-core efficiency within a 350W envelope.
sTR5 socket and PRO features
Supports up to 192 GB of memory, AMD PRO technologies for workstation reliability, and unlocked multiplier for overclocking.
Proven workstation platform
Compatible with established Threadripper PRO ecosystem of boards and cooling solutions, avoiding first-adoption risk.

- sTR5 socket motherboards only — requires Threadripper PRO-specific boards, not standard AM5 or Intel platforms.
- Workstation-class cooling required — 350W TDP demands robust tower or liquid coolers designed for sustained loads.
- Professional software with thread scaling — benefits depend on applications that can exploit 96 cores, such as Blender, DaVinci Resolve, Maya, or Premiere Pro.
- Gaming and single-threaded tasks see minimal uplift — raw core count adds cost for workloads that don't parallelize well.
Best for
- 3D artists and animators rendering complex scenes or batch jobs across farms.
- Video editors and colorists grading 4K or 8K timelines with real-time effects.
- Scientists and engineers running multi-threaded simulations, CAD, or data analysis.
- Content creators and post-production houses where per-hour rendering cost justifies the hardware investment.
- System integrators building turnkey workstations for professional shops.
Trade-offs
- Gamers and casual users. Gaming scales poorly above 16 cores; this processor wastes money and power on features it will never use.
- Single-threaded desktop tasks. General productivity, web browsing, and office work do not benefit from 96 cores; a mid-range CPU is faster and cheaper.
- Budget-conscious buyers. Entry price and platform cost are significantly higher than consumer-grade alternatives.
- Compact or silent builds. 350W TDP and heat output require substantial case volume and cooling noise.
Designed to Deliver. Built for Breakthroughs. The World's Fastest Workstation Processor.
