Its 144Hz refresh rate, Adaptive Sync, and 0.5ms MPRT response time make it a capable choice for gaming and everyday productivity alike. Features like Flicker-Free technology, Low Blue Mode, and HDR10 support round out a monitor aimed at all-day usability.
Why this product
144Hz refresh rate for smooth motion
Every frame is rendered sharply and in quick succession at 144Hz, reducing motion blur during fast-paced content whether you are gaming or scrubbing through video.
IPS panel with wide viewing angles
The IPS panel delivers 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles, maintaining consistent colour and image quality from virtually any seated position.
Adaptive Sync reduces screen tearing
Adaptive Sync synchronises the display's refresh rate with the GPU's output, eliminating tearing and stuttering without requiring a fixed frame rate.
Flicker-Free DC backlight for comfort
Unlike PWM-based monitors, this display uses a DC backlight system to eliminate flicker, reducing eye fatigue during extended use.
HDR10 support for richer contrast
HDR10 compatibility enables a wider palette of brightness and colour for compatible content, going beyond what standard monitors can display.
VESA mount and ultra-narrow bezel
The 100×100mm VESA mount makes it straightforward to put on an arm or wall bracket, and the narrow bezel keeps multi-monitor setups tidy.

Best for
- Budget-conscious gamers who want a 144Hz, Adaptive Sync display at 1080p without paying for higher resolutions they may not need.
- Office and productivity users who spend long hours at a screen, benefiting from Flicker-Free technology and Low Blue Mode to reduce eye strain.
- Multi-monitor setups — the ultra-narrow bezel and VESA mount support make it easy to arrange alongside other displays on an arm or wall.
- Console and PC gamers who need HDMI and DisplayPort connectivity to switch between a gaming console and a desktop without extra adapters.
- Users sensitive to eye fatigue who benefit from both the DC Flicker-Free backlight and the Low Blue Mode setting for extended daily use.
Trade-offs
- High-resolution content creators — the 1920×1080 native resolution is below the 1440p or 4K standard many photo and video editors require.
- Users who need built-in audio — there are no integrated speakers, so a separate audio device is required for sound.
- Those needing USB connectivity — the monitor has no USB hub, meaning no ports for peripherals or charging directly from the display.
- Users who need height or swivel adjustment — the stand only supports tilt (-5° to 23°); height and swivel adjustment are not available without a third-party arm.
The AOC 24B36X is a 23.8" Full HD IPS monitor engineered for precision and performance. A 144Hz refresh rate, 0.5ms MPRT response, and Adaptive Sync deliver smooth, tear-free visuals, while HDR10 and Motion Blur Reduction bring every scene to life with sharp detail and rich color. Designed for comfort and versatility, Flicker-Free and Low Blue Mode reduce eye strain, and the ultra-narrow bezel with VESA mount keeps your setup sleek and immersive.
IPS displays deliver 178/178-degree viewing angles while maintaining consistent image quality and colors from all viewing positions. You can also view your spreadsheets or weekend movies from virtually any angle without compromising color uniformity.
With a 144Hz refresh rate, every frame is rendered sharply and in smooth succession, so you can line up your work and play accurately and appreciate high speed in all condition.
Normal LED-backlit monitors adjust brightness using PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) which causes flickering and results in eye discomfort over long periods of time. AOC flicker-free technology uses a DC (Direct Current) backlight system to provide a more comfortable and healthier viewing experience, minimizing the effects of eye fatigue during work hours.
AOC Low Blue Mode setting ensures a more healthy viewing experience for prolonged computer use without compromising the naturally vivid colors of the display.
Whether you prefer a wall mount or multi-monitor desk setup, VESA Mount offers the ultimate in flexibility. And when combined with 3rd party accessories, VESA Mount lets you put your monitor wherever you want it.
This AOC monitor provides convenient connectivity options, with both HDMI and DisplayPort support to suit both professionals and home users. HDMI represents the leading digital video, audio, and data interface for high speed connections between ultra high-definition displays and a wide range of consumer electronics, including providing support for modern gaming consoles and PCs. DisplayPort allows for a range of devices to quickly and easily connect to your screen, delivering higher resolution, faster refresh rate and video transmissions free from input lag.
Enjoy an immersive visual experience with HDR 10, the industry-standard high dynamic range for delivering a rich palette of colors, brightness, and contrast that far exceeds the capabilities of ordinary monitors, engaging your senses and creatively inspiring you.
