ASUS ROG Azoth X 75% Wireless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
The ASUS ROG Azoth X 75% Wireless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is built for discerning gamers and keyboard enthusiasts who want precision, deep customization, and versatile connectivity. It combines hot-swappable ROG NX V2 mechanical switches, a gasket mount with five dampening layers, and tri-mode wireless connectivity in a compact 75% layout. Whether typing or gaming, it is engineered to deliver refined acoustics and a customizable experience from switches to keycaps.
Why this product
Hot-swappable ROG NX V2 switches
The ROG NX V2 mechanical switches (Snow V2 or Storm V2) can be swapped without soldering, supporting a wider range of keycap profiles and delivering softer acoustics for a more refined typing feel.
Gasket mount with five dampening layers
One silicone and four PORON® layers absorb vibrations and switch pinging for quieter, more satisfying acoustics. The FR4 positioning plate adds a flexible, low-pitched typing character.
Tri-mode wireless connectivity
Connect via 2.4 GHz ROG SpeedNova wireless, Bluetooth 5.1 (up to three devices simultaneously), or wired USB-C, giving flexibility across desktop, console, and mobile setups.
South-facing PCB for broader compatibility
The south-facing PCB layout supports a wider range of third-party switches and keycaps, making it well suited to enthusiasts who plan to customize beyond the stock configuration.
OLED display and three-way knob
The built-in OLED panel shows system information and setting indicators, while the three-way knob provides intuitive on-keyboard control without needing to open software.
Included silicone wrist rest
The extended silicone wrist rest ships in the box, providing firm support during long typing or gaming sessions without requiring a separate purchase.

Best for
- Keyboard enthusiasts: Hot-swappable switches, a south-facing PCB, and dye-sublimated keycaps make it straightforward to swap, mod, and personalize.
- Wireless gamers: ROG SpeedNova 2.4 GHz wireless with N-Key Rollover and a 1000 Hz USB report rate keeps latency low during competitive play.
- Multi-device users: Bluetooth 5.1 pairing for up to three devices plus 2.4 GHz and wired modes means it can move between a PC, laptop, and tablet without re-pairing each time.
- Acoustics-focused typists: The five-layer dampening system, gasket mount, and FR4 plate combine to reduce vibration and switch noise for a quieter, more refined sound profile.
- Desk space-conscious users: The 75% layout removes the numpad while retaining function and navigation keys, reducing footprint without sacrificing key coverage.
Trade-offs
- Numpad-dependent users: The 75% layout does not include a numpad, which rules it out for workflows that rely on dedicated numeric entry.
- Budget-first buyers: The included wrist rest, OLED display, gasket mount, and dampening layers add cost; users who do not need these features may find simpler options more appropriate.
- Older OS users: ASUS ROG states compatibility only with Windows 11 and macOS 10.11 or later; earlier versions are not supported.
- Weight-sensitive setups: At 1600 g with the wrist rest, it is heavier than most keyboards in this class, which may be a consideration for portable or travel use.
The ROG Azoth X is a 75% custom gaming keyboard built for discerning gamers and keyboard enthusiasts who demand precision and versatility. It features hot-swappable ROG NX V2 Mechanical Switches and dye-sublimated Stellar-themed ROG keycaps for enhanced durability and aesthetics. A south-facing PCB ensures compatibility with a broad range of switches and keycaps, while five dampening layers, a gasket mount, and an FR4 positioning plate work in unison to provide refined typing experiences.
