ASUS RT-BE58U BE3600 WiFi 7 Dual-Band Router - 3600 Mbps
The ASUS RT-BE58U is a WiFi 7 dual-band router that delivers up to 3600 Mbps of throughput across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. It suits households and small offices that need fast, stable wireless coverage across multiple rooms and devices, with built-in mesh capability to extend range without replacing existing routers.
Why this product
WiFi 7 with Multi-Link Operation
Combines 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands via MLO technology to reduce buffering and latency by intelligently switching between frequencies based on real-time conditions.
160 MHz channel width for lower latency
Ultrawide channels reduce congestion and deliver faster, more responsive connections for gaming and video streaming.
Four external antennas eliminate dead zones
High-power front-end modules and four external antennas project signal in all directions, covering up to 2000 sq ft without weak spots.
2.5G Ethernet port for wired speed
One 2.5G WAN/LAN port and three 1G LAN ports handle both high-speed internet handoff and local device connections without bottlenecking.
AiMesh extends with older ASUS routers
Create a mesh network by adding any compatible ASUS router as a node, regardless of its WiFi generation, without replacing existing hardware.
24/7 network security with AiProtection Pro
Commercial-grade protection blocks malicious sites, detects infected devices, and includes two-way IPS and VPN support for end-to-end safety.

- Works with WiFi 7, WiFi 6, WiFi 5, and WiFi 4 devices; supports legacy standards 802.11a, 802.11b, and 802.11g.
- Accepts 3G/4G LTE and 4G/5G mobile tethering through USB and auto-detection for backup connectivity.
- Meshes with any AiMesh-compatible ASUS router to create a multi-node network without generational restrictions.
- Supports up to 64 port forwarding rules, 32 port triggering rules, and standard DDNS and NAT passthrough protocols.
- USB 3.2 Gen 1 port enables file sharing, media server, FTP server, and Download Master, but storage must be connected via USB.
Best for
- Large multi-story homes and offices needing WiFi coverage across 2000 sq ft without roaming dead zones.
- Gamers and streamers who benefit from reduced latency via MLO and ultrawide 160 MHz channels.
- Users with mixed-generation WiFi devices who want one router that speaks 802.11a through 802.11be.
- Those extending existing ASUS mesh networks without buying new routers; any AiMesh-compatible unit becomes a node.
- Security-conscious households needing 24/7 threat detection, malicious site blocking, and parental controls across multiple SSIDs.
Trade-offs
- Small apartments or studios where 2000 sq ft coverage and four antennas exceed spatial needs and add unnecessary hardware bulk.
- Users requiring wired backbone speeds above 2.5 Gbps; the single high-speed port caps at 2.5G, with three remaining LAN ports at 1G each.
- Setups without broadband requiring continuous fallback to 4G/5G; mobile tethering is a backup feature, not a primary connection mode.
- Networks needing more than three simultaneous SSIDs; the device supports up to three for parental control and IoT segmentation.
