ASUS TUF Gaming VG259QM5A 24.5" 240Hz Fast IPS Monitor
The ASUS TUF Gaming VG259QM5A is a 24.5-inch Full HD Fast IPS monitor built for competitive and immersive gaming. Its 240Hz refresh rate and 0.3ms response time reduce motion blur and input lag, keeping fast-paced action sharp and responsive. Support for both AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility means it pairs cleanly with a wide range of gaming PCs.
Why this product
240Hz refresh for fluid competitive gameplay
At 240 frames per second, on-screen motion stays sharp during fast-paced titles where every frame counts.
0.3ms response time reduces ghosting
The Fast IPS panel's 0.3ms GTG (minimum) response time keeps moving edges crisp and minimises trailing artefacts.
Works with AMD and NVIDIA adaptive sync
AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility let it eliminate screen tearing across both GPU families.
ELMB SYNC for motion clarity alongside adaptive sync
Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync can run at the same time as adaptive sync, a combination not common on all gaming monitors.
99% sRGB colour coverage
Full sRGB coverage keeps game visuals and content accurate without oversaturation.
Gaming AI and DisplayWidget Center control
On-screen settings and AI-assisted image adjustments are managed through ASUS software without leaving the desktop.

- Compatible with NVIDIA GPUs via G-SYNC compatibility mode — no proprietary G-SYNC module required.
- Compatible with AMD GPUs via FreeSync Premium, including low-framerate compensation at qualifying frame rates.
- ELMB SYNC motion blur reduction works alongside adaptive sync, so both features can be active simultaneously.
- Designed for Full HD (1920×1080) output — source devices must support this resolution to use the native panel.
- Gaming AI and DisplayWidget Center features require the ASUS software to be installed on a connected Windows PC.
Best for
- Competitive FPS and fast-action gamers who need a high refresh rate and low response time to keep up with rapid on-screen movement.
- NVIDIA and AMD GPU owners alike — dual adaptive sync support means no need to match a specific GPU brand.
- Desk setups with limited space — the 24.5-inch panel fits tighter battlestations without sacrificing a high refresh rate.
- Buyers who want accurate sRGB colour alongside gaming performance, since 99% sRGB coverage avoids the oversaturation of wide-gamut panels tuned purely for visual pop.
Trade-offs
- Content creators needing wide colour gamut — the panel covers 99% sRGB but does not list DCI-P3 or Adobe RGB coverage, which some creative workflows require.
- Buyers wanting a larger screen — the panel size is 24.5 inches; those who need a 27-inch or larger display will need to look elsewhere.
- Users who prioritise pixel density over speed — Full HD at 24.5 inches is optimised for fast refresh, not the highest sharpness per inch available at this screen size.
