ASUS TUF Gaming VG34VQL3A 34" UWQHD 180Hz Curved Monitor
The ASUS TUF Gaming VG34VQL3A is a 34-inch ultrawide curved monitor built for gamers who want a wider field of view and a fast, responsive display without stepping up to a high-end enthusiast panel. Its 1500R curve, 180Hz refresh rate, and 1ms GTG response time address the core demands of competitive and immersive play in a single package.
Why this product
180Hz refresh rate with overclock support
The panel reaches 180Hz when overclocked, reducing motion blur and lag in fast-paced genres like shooters, racers, and real-time strategy titles.
1ms GTG response time and ELMB
A 1ms grey-to-grey response time is paired with ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB) technology to further cut ghosting during rapid on-screen movement.
AMD FreeSync Premium Pro adaptive sync
Variable refresh rate is enabled by default, eliminating screen tearing and reducing stutter across the full refresh range without requiring manual activation.
DisplayHDR 400 with 125% sRGB coverage
VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification and HDR10 format support bring higher contrast and wider colour coverage compared to standard SDR panels.
1500R curvature across 34 inches
The tight 1500R curve keeps every point on the panel equidistant from the viewer's eyes, reducing the distortion that appears on flatter ultrawide screens.
Full ergonomic adjustment range
The stand offers tilt, swivel, and up to 130mm of height adjustment, along with 100×100mm VESA compatibility for wall or arm mounting.

- HDMI 2.0 ports are limited to 100Hz vertical refresh; reaching the full 180Hz requires a DisplayPort 1.4 connection.
Best for
- Competitive gamers who prioritise high refresh rates and fast response times — 180Hz and 1ms GTG directly reduce input lag and motion blur.
- Ultrawide immersion seekers who want a 21:9 3440×1440 field of view for story-driven games or simulators without paying for an OLED panel.
- AMD GPU owners who want a FreeSync Premium Pro certified display to guarantee tear-free adaptive sync performance.
- Desk-mounted setups where ergonomic flexibility matters — 130mm height adjustment, ±10° swivel, and VESA compatibility give full positioning control.
- HDR-curious buyers looking for an entry point into high dynamic range gaming; DisplayHDR 400 and HDR10 support are included at this tier.
Trade-offs
- Professional colour work — the panel covers 125% sRGB but no DCI-P3 or AdobeRGB figure is provided, and no factory calibration is specified.
- Demanding HDR content — DisplayHDR 400 with 400 cd/m² peak brightness and a 4000:1 contrast ratio is a step below the local-dimming or OLED panels used in premium HDR setups.
- Space-limited desks — the panel is 80.8cm wide without the stand and weighs 8.1kg with it, requiring a wide, sturdy surface.
- Single-cable USB-C workflows — there is no USB-C or Thunderbolt port; video input is DisplayPort or HDMI only.
