ASUS Vivobook 15 M1502XA Ryzen 7 7840HS 8GB 512GB - Quiet Blue
The ASUS Vivobook 15 M1502XA is a 15.6-inch laptop built for students and everyday professionals who need a capable, portable machine for demanding workloads without carrying something heavy. Powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS processor and paired with fast DDR5 memory and NVMe SSD storage, it handles productivity, light creative work and multitasking with headroom to spare. Its slim NanoEdge display, backlit keyboard and comprehensive port selection make it a practical all-rounder for work or study.
Why this product
AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS with 5.1 GHz boost
The 8-core, 16-thread Ryzen 7 7840HS runs at a base of 3.8 GHz and boosts up to 5.1 GHz, making it well-suited to demanding productivity tasks, video editing and multitasking.
Fast DDR5 memory, upgradeable to 16 GB
It ships with 8 GB of on-board DDR5 RAM and includes one free SO-DIMM slot, allowing total system memory to be expanded up to 16 GB.
512 GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage
The M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 SSD delivers fast application launch times and file transfers, with an additional M.2 slot available for a storage upgrade.
15.6-inch FHD anti-glare display
The IPS-level panel offers a 1920 × 1080 resolution, 60 Hz refresh rate and slim bezels with an 82% screen-to-body ratio, making it comfortable for long working sessions.
Comprehensive port selection including USB-C PD
It carries two USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 ports (one with Power Delivery), two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, a USB 2.0 port, HDMI 1.4 and a 3.5 mm audio jack — covering most peripherals without a hub.
Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4
Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.4 keep it connected to modern networks and wireless peripherals.

Best for
- Students and remote workers who need a capable everyday laptop that weighs 1.70 kg and fits into a standard bag.
- Multitaskers and productivity users who benefit from the 8-core Ryzen 7 7840HS and DDR5 memory for running multiple applications simultaneously.
- Users who want upgrade headroom — the free M.2 slot and single SO-DIMM slot mean storage and RAM can be expanded after purchase.
- Those who connect many peripherals — the six-port I/O lineup including USB-C PD, HDMI and multiple USB-A ports reduces the need for a hub.
- Privacy-conscious users who value the physical privacy shutter built into the 720p webcam.
Trade-offs
- Gamers or GPU-intensive users: the AMD Radeon 780M is integrated graphics; it handles light gaming but is not suited to modern AAA titles at high settings.
- Users needing a high-refresh or colour-accurate display: the panel is 60 Hz with a 45% NTSC colour gamut, which falls short of professional colour-grading standards.
- Thunderbolt ecosystem users: there is no Thunderbolt port, so Thunderbolt docks and eGPU enclosures will not work.
- Touch-screen users: the display is explicitly non-touch, making pen or finger input impossible.
- Users who need more than 16 GB of RAM: the system memory is capped at 16 GB total by the hardware design.
