ASUS WT465 Wireless Mouse - 1600 DPI, RF 2.4GHz Optical
The ASUS WT465 Wireless Mouse is a compact, wireless input device suited to office work, light use and travel where cable clutter is unwelcome. It pairs optical tracking with switchable 1000 or 1600 DPI resolution and runs on a single AA battery, keeping setup minimal and transceiver-to-device distance to a practical 10 metres.
Why this product
2.4GHz wireless, no cables
RF connection at 10m range removes cable clutter and works across Windows and Chrome OS machines without software installation.
Switchable 1000 / 1600 DPI
Two resolution settings let you toggle precision on the fly — higher DPI for faster movement, lower for detail work.
Single AA battery
Power-saving firmware extends runtime on one standard battery, and the compact dongle tucks into the mouse itself for travel.
Compact footprint
Weighs 70 g and measures 106 × 75.6 × 39.5 mm, fitting easily into laptop bags and fitting hands of various sizes.

Best for
- Office work and productivity on desktops or Ultrabooks where wireless convenience matters more than gaming speed.
- Travel and mobile use, since the transceiver stores inside the mouse and a single AA battery lasts weeks under typical office load.
- Users who value simplicity — no drivers, no charging dock, no complex menus.
Trade-offs
- Competitive gaming, where optical tracking alone and max 1600 DPI may not match gaming-grade mice in responsiveness or acceleration curves.
- Users who need wired connection or zero wireless latency — 2.4GHz RF introduces measurable latency compared to USB-connected devices.
- Left-handed users — the shape is designed for right-hand grip.
Get more done with hi-res wireless input flexibility
Subtle looks hold the secret to a full spectrum of mouse capabilities. Perfect for every application from productivity to gaming and for any PC from Ultrabooks to desktops, this wireless enabler gives you a neat product with numerous features.
It uses smart power management to keep battery life extended, and can go up to 1600dpi precision – with switchable resolutions you control. The transceiver is extra-compact so you can leave it connected to your notebook PC and go, or tuck it into the mouse for even more space-saving convenience.
