ASUS ZenBeam L2 Portable Projector - 1080p, 960 Lumens
The ASUS ZenBeam L2 is a portable LED projector built for people who want a bright, sharp picture without being tied to a fixed installation. It runs Google-certified Android 12, includes a 3.5-hour battery, and weighs just 1.57 kg, making it practical for moving between rooms or taking on trips.
Why this product
Short-throw lens reaches 120 inches in three meters
A 40-inch image forms from just one meter away. The throw ratio of 1.2:1 lets you project large in smaller spaces where a conventional projector would need to sit much farther back.
1080p native resolution with 4K HDR passthrough
Native 1920×1080 display with 120% sRGB color gamut delivers sharp, detailed images. It accepts 4K HDR10 input, so it can display the picture from 4K sources scaled to native resolution.
Built-in Android 12 TV box and Chromecast
No external streamer needed. It has Google-certified Android 12 with Netflix preloaded and 400,000+ films and shows across 7,000+ apps. Chromecast support lets you beam content directly from a phone or tablet.
960 LED lumens and Harman/Kardon sound
Brightness of 960 LED lumens (400 ANSI lumens) remains visible in dimly lit rooms and daylight viewing. The built-in 10W speaker carries sound tuned by Harman/Kardon rather than relying on a TV's thin audio.
3.5-hour battery and carry bag included
The 65Wh six-cell battery runs the projector for up to 3.5 hours without power. A carry bag holds the projector, adapter, and cables so you can move it between locations.

Best for
- Small living spaces where a TV takes up wall real estate but a projection surface does not.
- Travel and temporary setups; battery power and lightweight form factor mean no cables or outlet hunting.
- Streaming without a separate device; Android 12 and Netflix preloaded handles most entertainment alone.
- Multi-room entertainment; move it between bedroom, living room, patio or caravan without reinstalling.
Trade-offs
- Bright daylit rooms or outdoor projection in strong sunlight; 960 LED lumens (400 ANSI lumens) works best in dim or darkened spaces.
- Large permanent cinema installations; it is sized for portability, not performance above a certain screen size.
- Users who need 4K native resolution; it natively outputs 1920×1080 only, though it accepts 4K input.
- Very high contrast or detail-sensitive work (photo retouching, film grading); the 400:1 contrast ratio is suited to general viewing rather than professional imaging.
