ASUS ZenWiFi BT8 1-Pack WiFi 7 Mesh Router BE14000
The ASUS ZenWiFi BT8 is a WiFi 7 mesh router designed for whole-home coverage and future-ready performance. It suits households needing strong coverage across multiple rooms, streaming and gaming without buffering, and the ability to support many connected devices simultaneously. The system delivers tri-band speeds up to 14 Gbps with a dedicated 6 GHz band, dual 2.5-gigabit Ethernet ports for wired backhaul, and built-in security tools.
Why this product
WiFi 7 with dedicated 6 GHz band
Tri-band performance across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz delivers up to 14 Gbps total throughput. Multi-Link Operation (MLO) intelligently switches between bands to eliminate buffering.
Dual 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports
Ultra-high-speed wired backhaul between routers or to other devices reduces reliance on wireless connections and stabilises mesh performance.
Seven internal antennas and beamforming
The system uses beamforming to focus signal toward devices rather than broadcasting in all directions, reducing dead zones across coverage areas.
Commercial-grade security suite
AiProtection Pro, malicious site blocking, two-way IPS, and infected device prevention run continuously. VPN client and server modes support both outbound and inbound secure connections.
AiMesh ecosystem
Works with compatible ASUS routers to extend coverage up to 5,900 sq. ft. in a two-pack configuration, with the ability to add nodes for larger spaces.

Best for
- Large homes or multi-floor layouts requiring whole-home coverage without dead zones.
- Households with 8K streaming, competitive gaming, or high-bandwidth content creation where latency and throughput matter.
- Users prioritising security, with built-in anti-malware, traffic monitoring, parental controls, and multiple VPN protocols.
- Tech-forward households with many WiFi 7 and WiFi 6E devices that can utilise MLO and the 6 GHz band.
- Users needing wired backhaul with high-speed Ethernet; the dual 2.5 Gbps ports support multiple gigabit connections simultaneously.
Trade-offs
- Budget-conscious buyers; this is a premium WiFi 7 router positioned at the top end of the market.
- Small apartments or single-room setups where a simpler, single-unit WiFi 6 router would be overkill.
- Users with older devices limited to WiFi 4 or 5 who will not benefit from WiFi 7 or 6 GHz features.
- Environments without reliable wired Ethernet access where full advantage of the dual 2.5 Gbps ports cannot be taken.
