The Fractal Design North XL RC Chalk White TG Clear Full Tower Case combines walnut wood and brass accents with a spacious interior and flexible cooling support. The open front design and integrated mesh panels prioritise natural airflow alongside visual appeal.
Why this product
Wood and brass design elements
Real walnut front panel with sleek brass details distinguish this case from typical gaming enclosures. The aesthetic integrates hardware into living spaces without sacrificing performance credentials.
Extensive radiator support
Front radiators up to 420 mm and top radiators up to 360 mm let you build custom cooling loops. The case also ships with three 140 mm Aspect PWM fans included.
Long GPU accommodation
Supports graphics cards up to 413 mm, or up to 380 mm when a 420 mm front radiator is installed. Seven expansion slots provide room for additional components.
USB 3.2 Type-C front I/O
One USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C port delivers 20 Gbps speeds alongside two USB 3.0 ports and audio connectors on the front panel.
Open-front ventilation design
Natural airflow through the unobstructed front and integrated mesh panels reduces reliance on forced cooling. The tempered glass left side panel displays the interior build.

Best for
- Builders prioritising visual design and living-room placement alongside performance.
- Custom water-cooling systems; front and top radiator mounts support loops up to 420 mm.
- High-end graphics cards and extended component configurations within its generous interior.
- Users who value natural airflow and passive ventilation over maximum fan density.
- Cable management on the RC version; 45 mm routing space and fixed straps organise wiring out of sight.
Trade-offs
- Compact or SFF builds: at 503 × 240 × 509 mm, it prioritises space and flexibility over portability or desk footprint.
- Extensive 3.5" storage: only two combined 3.5"/2.5" mounts and two dedicated 2.5" mounts limit traditional HDD arrays.
- Front-panel cable routing without modification: the RC version has no cable routing grommets, only a 45 mm back routing space.
- Builds requiring rear radiator support larger than 120 mm: rear mounting is limited to single 120 mm radiators.
- Optical drive users: zero 5.25" drive bays are available.
