HP 738pu Series 7 Pro 38" Curved WQHD+ Thunderbolt 4 Monitor
The HP 738pu Series 7 Pro 38" Curved WQHD+ Thunderbolt 4 Monitor is built for creative professionals and power users who need accurate, wide-gamut colour and a broad canvas across demanding multi-source workflows. Its factory-calibrated DreamColor-class IPS Black panel, Thunderbolt 4 connectivity, and Smart KVM switch let a single desk setup handle two computers, multiple peripherals, and up to 100W device charging without reaching for extra adapters.
Why this product
Factory-calibrated colour accuracy
Pantone-validated with strict factory calibration ensuring over 300 colours achieve a Delta E < 2. Covers 98% Display P3 and 100% sRGB for colour-critical work.
IPS Black with 2000:1 contrast ratio
Twice the contrast of a traditional IPS panel, delivering deeper shadows and brighter highlights across 178°/178° viewing angles.
Thunderbolt 4 with up to 100W charging
A single Thunderbolt 4 cable carries 40 Gbps data, full DisplayPort 1.4 video, and up to 100W USB Power Delivery to keep a connected laptop charged.
Smart KVM for two-computer workflows
Automatically detects and switches between two computers using one keyboard and mouse, with Picture-by-picture to view both sources side by side.
HP Zero Bright Dot Guarantee
If even one subpixel fails during the warranty period, HP replaces the entire monitor — no questions asked.
TÜV-certified low blue light hardware
HP Eye Ease carries TÜV Low Blue Light Hardware Solution certification and pairs with an ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts brightness throughout the day.

Best for
- Colour-critical creative work: factory calibration to Delta E < 2 across 300+ colours, 98% Display P3, and Pantone validation make it suited to photo editing, video grading, and design.
- Dual-computer desks: the Smart KVM switch and Picture-by-picture let one set of peripherals control two machines displayed simultaneously.
- Single-cable Thunderbolt 4 setups: users who want video, high-speed data, and up to 100W charging over one cable to a compatible laptop.
- All-day desk workers: 150 mm height adjustment, ±30° swivel, −5 to +20° tilt, flicker-free panel, and automatic brightness via ambient light sensor support long sessions.
- Sustainability-focused buyers: the enclosure uses 90% post-consumer recycled plastic, 90% recycled aluminium, and 15% recycled steel.
Trade-offs
- High-refresh-rate gaming: the panel is rated at a maximum 60 Hz refresh rate, which falls below what competitive or fast-paced gaming monitors typically offer.
- Tight desk spaces: at 895 mm wide and with a 2300R curve, the physical footprint requires a desk that can accommodate a 37.5" ultrawide panel.
- Legacy video-only connections: there is no VGA or DVI input, so older source devices without HDMI, DisplayPort, or USB-C will need an active adapter not included in the box.
- Full HDR content workflows: the display carries VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification at 400 nits typical brightness, which is an entry-level HDR tier rather than a high-peak-brightness HDR standard.
The path to excellence doesn't cut corners, it curves them. The HP 37.5" WQHD+ Thunderbolt 4 Monitor pushes you above and beyond with dazzling colors on a powerful, ultrawide curved monitor for effortless productivity.
Treat your creative vision to brilliance straight from the box with factory-calibrated color accuracy on a DreamColor-class display. The panoramic canvas delivers vivid colors and rich contrast thanks to IPS Black, HDR400, 98% Display P3, and more. Elevate your work with uninterrupted performance. This superfast Thunderbolt™ 4 monitor delivers high-resolution video, high-speed data, and up to 100W charging for multiple devices.
For color-critical projects, trust this Pantone-validated™ display with superb color accuracy, achieved by strict factory color calibration that ensures over 300 colors achieve a Delta E < 2, making any color difference virtually indistinguishable.
For all-day comfort, settle into your workflow by finding your screen's perfect position with three-way adjustability and Ergonomic Setup Guide. Help your eyes stay fresh, day or night, with the ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts the monitor's brightness.
