Mercusys MA20N AC650 Nano Wi-Fi USB Adapter - Dual Band
The Mercusys MA20N AC650 Nano Wi-Fi USB Adapter is a dual-band wireless adapter for desktop and laptop computers that need Wi-Fi connectivity without internal wireless hardware. It combines 200 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 433 Mbps on 5 GHz in a form factor smaller than a USB flash drive, and installs instantly on Windows 10 and 11 with no separate driver download required.
Why this product
Dual-band speeds in a nano form factor
433 Mbps on 5 GHz for streaming and gaming, 200 Mbps on 2.4 GHz for general browsing. The adapter is small enough to leave permanently plugged in without obstructing neighbouring ports or getting lost.
Plug-and-play on Windows, no driver disc
Built-in Windows driver support means the adapter works within seconds of plugging into a USB port. Supported on Windows 10 and 11, both 32-bit and 64-bit.
WPA3 security support
Supports the latest WPA3 security standard for enhanced password protection on compatible routers. Driver updates may be required for WPA3 functionality.

Best for
- Adding Wi-Fi to a desktop PC with no internal wireless card
- Portable laptops that need a secondary wireless adapter or replacement
- Users who value instant setup without downloading drivers or consulting documentation
- Environments where a tiny, low-profile adapter prevents cable clutter and port blocking
Trade-offs
- Non-Windows systems: The adapter supports only Windows 10 and 11 and will not function on macOS, Linux, or other operating systems
- Computers without USB 2.0 ports: It requires a USB 2.0 or later interface and cannot be used with devices that lack one
- Legacy Wi-Fi standards: If a device or router operates exclusively on older wireless standards not covered by IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, compatibility is not guaranteed
- Long-range or multi-building coverage: A single internal antenna has limited range; environments requiring extended coverage across large areas or multiple floors may need a more powerful adapter
The MA20N combining 200 Mbps on 2.4 GHz (perfect for surfing and emailing) and 433 Mbps on 5 GHz (ideal for HD streaming and gaming), so that you have the flexibility to allocate your devices to dedicated networks to do more at the same time.1
With its ultra-compact design, the MA20N is extremely convenient for use both at home and on the road. All you need to do is connect this miniature adapter to a computer's USB port. You can then leave it plugged in without worrying about it falling out or getting lost.
With the built-in inbox driver by Windows operation systems, you just need to plug the MA20N into the computer and then enjoy the fast wireless network in seconds. MA20N fully supports the latest Windows 11.
1 Maximum wireless signal rates are the physical rates derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications. Actual wireless data throughput and wireless coverage, and number of connected devices are not guaranteed and will vary as a result of network conditions, AP limitations, and environmental factors, including building materials, obstacles, volume and density of traffic, and AP location.
2 Use of WPA3 requires APs to also support the corresponding feature. To use WPA3, you may need to upgrade the drivers which can be downloaded on the official website of MERCUSYS. The functionality of MA20N may be restricted on some computing systems and platforms. Please try to update the device's driver for feature compatibility.
