Trade-offs
- High-speed wired internet users. The 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports are much slower than modern broadband speeds; 300 Mbps Wi-Fi and 150 Mbps LTE will bottleneck gigabit or multi-hundred-megabit fixed connections.
- 5 GHz or Wi-Fi 6 networks. It operates only on 2.4 GHz 802.11n, so newer dual-band or Wi-Fi 6 devices cannot connect at their full speeds.
- Heavy video streaming or low-latency gaming. While 300 Mbps Wi-Fi and 150 Mbps LTE sound sufficient, mobile networks introduce latency variability that makes real-time gaming unreliable.
- Users needing external antennas by default. Internal antennas are built in; external 3G/4G antenna ports exist but external antennas are not included and must be purchased separately.
