MSI BE6500 WiFi 7 USB Adapter - Tri-Band, USB 3.2
The MSI BE6500 WiFi 7 USB Adapter is a tri-band wireless dongle for Windows PCs that need faster, lower-latency connectivity. It connects to the 6 GHz band alongside traditional 2.4 and 5 GHz channels, using Multi-Link Operation to distribute traffic across multiple frequency bands and reduce congestion.
Why this product
WiFi 7 with 6 GHz band access
Operates across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and the newer 6 GHz band to avoid congestion. The 6 GHz band delivers up to 2880 Mbps on its own.
Multi-Link Operation reduces latency
Simultaneous connection to multiple bands stabilises real-time traffic like gaming and video calls by splitting data across less-congested paths.
High-gain antennas with beamforming
Two tri-band antennas with beamforming focus signal toward your device, improving range and reliability at distance from the router.
WPA3 encryption for stronger security
Latest WiFi encryption standard protects your connection against known attack methods used against older WPA2 networks.

- Backward compatible with WiFi 6, WiFi 5, WiFi 4, and older WiFi standards for connection to legacy routers.
- Requires a WiFi 7 router to access 6 GHz band and achieve full 2880 Mbps speeds; older routers will fall back to WiFi 6 or WiFi 5 mode.
- Not compatible with macOS, Linux, or other non-Windows operating systems.
Best for
- Gaming and real-time streaming on WiFi 7 networks
- Crowded WiFi environments where 6 GHz band availability reduces interference
- Long-distance coverage from router — beamforming and dual high-gain antennas extend stable signal
- Windows 11 systems with WiFi 7 routers already installed
Trade-offs
- Homes with older WiFi 6 or WiFi 5 routers. It will work, but cannot access 6 GHz or deliver the speed advantage over your current setup.
- Mac and Linux users. Driver support is Windows only.
- Windows 10 systems require limited-feature drivers — full functionality is guaranteed only on Windows 11.
- Laptops without USB Type-A ports. Adapter requires a full-size USB 3.2 slot; no USB-C converter is included.
The BE6500 WiFi 7 USB adapter leverages advanced WiFi 7 technology for seamless connectivity. With MLO (Multi-Link Operation), it reduces latency and boosts reliability by connecting to multiple links. Its 4096-QAM technology enhances speeds by 20% over WiFi 6.
Unleashing the power of the 6 GHz band, the BE6500 WiFi 7 adapter delivers blazing-fast speeds of up to 2880 Mbps on 6 GHz, ensuring congestion-free highspeed streaming of real-time conferencing, cloud-based workloads, or gaming activity.
The BE6500 WiFi 7 USB adapter is equipped with a high-gain antenna, a flexible cradle, and beamforming technology, boosting WiFi signal strength and ensuring better reception and connectivity even at greater distances from the router.
