TP-Link Archer AXE75 AXE5400 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6E Router
The TP-Link Archer AXE75 AXE5400 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6E Router is built for households with many connected devices that need reliable, high-speed wireless coverage across multiple frequency bands. By adding the 6 GHz band introduced with Wi-Fi 6E, it reduces congestion from older devices and delivers more bandwidth, lower latency, and speeds up to 5400 Mbps — making it a practical upgrade for homes running 4K/8K streaming, AR/VR gaming, and a growing number of IoT devices simultaneously.
Why this product
Wi-Fi 6E opens the 6 GHz band
The 6 GHz band is exclusive to Wi-Fi 6E clients, so it carries no legacy interference or overlap from older devices, delivering more bandwidth and near-zero latency for compatible devices.
2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN port included
A single 2.5 Gbps port can be configured as either a WAN or LAN connection, giving roughly 2.5 times the wired throughput of a standard Gigabit port when paired with a compatible ISP plan.
Supports 200+ devices simultaneously
OFDMA technology increases capacity by up to four times, allowing more devices to transmit at the same time without causing congestion or latency spikes.
1.7 GHz Quad-Core CPU with 512 MB RAM
The onboard processor and memory handle routing, VPN, and mesh tasks without offloading to the cloud, keeping local network management responsive.
EasyMesh and OneMesh compatible
It works with TP-Link OneMesh extenders and EasyMesh-compatible devices to extend whole-home coverage, automatically handing off devices as they move between nodes.
Built-in VPN server and client
OpenVPN, PPTP, and L2TP are all supported in both server and client modes, enabling secure remote access or tunnelling traffic through a remote network without a separate device.

- Works with any Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) client device on the 6 GHz, 5 GHz, or 2.4 GHz bands.
- Backward compatible with Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 4 and older 802.11 clients on the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands.
- Managed via the TP-Link Tether app on iOS and Android, or through a web interface on any browser.
- Compatible with Amazon Alexa for voice control.
- OFDMA, HE160, and 1024-QAM performance gains require client devices that also support those features.
- The 2.5 Gbps WAN port requires a compatible ISP plan and modem to deliver multi-gigabit internet speeds; standard Gigabit ISP plans will not exceed 1 Gbps regardless.
Best for
- Dense device households — with support for 200+ devices and OFDMA across three bands, it is suited to homes where dozens of phones, laptops, smart-home sensors, and streaming devices compete for bandwidth.
- 4K/8K streaming and AR/VR gaming — the dedicated 6 GHz band and low-latency Wi-Fi 6E connection provide headroom for high-throughput, latency-sensitive applications when the client device is Wi-Fi 6E capable.
- Multi-gigabit ISP subscribers — the 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN port allows the router to pass through speeds beyond standard Gigabit if the ISP plan and modem support it.
- Remote workers needing VPN access — built-in OpenVPN, PPTP, and L2TP server and client modes remove the need for a separate VPN appliance on the home network.
- Expanding mesh networks — EasyMesh and OneMesh compatibility means it can act as the backbone of a whole-home mesh system by pairing with compatible extenders.
Trade-offs
- Devices without Wi-Fi 6E — older clients cannot connect to or benefit from the 6 GHz band; they fall back to 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz, which offer no advantage over a standard Wi-Fi 6 router.
- ISP plans capped at 1 Gbps or below — the 2.5 Gbps WAN port provides no practical benefit when the incoming internet connection does not exceed Gigabit speeds.
- Wall- or ceiling-mount installations — no mounting hardware or mounting mode is listed in the specifications; the unit is designed for flat surface placement.
- Networks requiring PoE switching — there are no PoE ports on this router; powering access points or IP cameras via Ethernet would require a separate PoE switch.
WiFi 6E introduces the brand new 6 GHz band without any overlap or interference from other bands and older devices. This means a congestion-free frequency that offers more bandwidth, faster speed, and lower latency.‡
Archer AXE75 provides WiFi speeds up to 5400 Mbps, enabling your devices to run at full speed. Enjoy fluent 4K/8K streaming, immersive AR/VR gaming, and blazing-fast downloads.†
Get 2.5 times faster wired performance with a 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN port. Additionally, enjoy the versatility to use it as either a WAN or LAN connection.§
The number of IoT devices today creates greater demands on home WiFi. Archer AXE75 future-proofs your home network with a higher capacity of up to 200+ devices. OFDMA and other advanced tech cut down the clutter throughout your frequency bands, eliminating latency and jitter.‡
6× high-performance antennas boost WiFi signals throughout your home. Beamforming technology detects devices and concentrates signals towards them, especially to previously hard-to-reach areas.
Archer AXE75 is EasyMesh-compatible. If you have any dead zones at home, just add another EasyMesh router/range extender to further form your whole home multi-gigabit mesh WiFi.
†Maximum wireless signal rates are the physical rates derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications. Actual wireless data throughput and wireless coverage are not guaranteed and will vary as a result of network conditions, client limitations, and environmental factors, including building materials, obstacles, volume and density of traffic, and client location. ‡Use of Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), Wi-Fi 6E, and features including OFDMA, 1024-QAM, and HE160 require clients to also support the corresponding features. Seven 160MHz channels may not be all available in the 6 GHz band in some regions/countries due to regulatory restrictions. §2.5 Gbps internet speeds require compatible service plans and equipment. △TP-Link EasyMesh-compatible
