TP-Link Deco X50-5G 5G AX3000 Mesh Wi-Fi 6 Router 1-Pack
The TP-Link Deco X50-5G 5G AX3000 Mesh Wi-Fi 6 Router is built for households and small businesses that need fast internet without a fixed-line broadband connection. It accepts a SIM card directly, supporting 5G, 4G, and fixed-line access, making it particularly well-suited to vacation homes, temporary venues, rural properties, and anywhere traditional cable installation is impractical or expensive. A 2.5 Gbps wired port and whole-home mesh capability round out the package for users who need both wired and wireless performance.
Why this product
SIM-based internet: no cable installation needed
Insert a SIM card and connect immediately via 5G or 4G. This makes it practical for short-term rentals, pop-up venues, farms, and rural locations where fixed broadband is costly or unavailable.
1 ms latency over 5G
5G connectivity delivers a 1 ms latency connection, keeping online gaming, video streaming, and AR/VR applications responsive even without a fixed-line connection.
Wi-Fi 6 AX3000 dual-band speeds
It combines 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz, with MU-MIMO and OFDMA to handle many devices simultaneously without congestion.
2.5 Gbps wired port for bandwidth-heavy devices
A single 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port provides a high-throughput wired connection for NAS drives, gaming PCs, or workstations, complemented by two additional Gigabit ports.
Mesh roaming with automatic band switching
Deco mesh technology, using 802.11k/v/r protocols, moves connected devices automatically to the strongest Deco node as you move through your home.
HomeShield security and parental controls
TP-Link HomeShield provides network-level protection for all connected devices, including parental controls, real-time IoT security, and management via the Deco app.

Best for
- Locations without fixed-line broadband — farms, rural properties, vacation homes, and suburban warehouses where cable installation is expensive or unavailable.
- Short-term or temporary venues — pop-up shops, short-term rentals, and event spaces that cannot commit to long broadband contracts.
- Gamers and streaming households — the 1 ms 5G latency and AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 speeds support online gaming, HD streaming, and AR/VR without congestion.
- Multi-device homes — MU-MIMO, OFDMA, and BSS Color allow it to serve many devices concurrently on the same network.
- Families wanting network controls — HomeShield provides parental controls and IoT security managed through the Deco app.
Trade-offs
- Single-unit whole-home coverage in large properties — this listing is a 1-Pack; large homes requiring wide mesh coverage would need additional Deco units.
- PoE-powered installations — it requires its own 12 V/2.5 A power adapter and does not support Power over Ethernet.
- Buyers needing more than one 2.5 Gbps wired port — only one 2.5 Gbps port is provided; the remaining two ports are standard Gigabit.
- Networks requiring tri-band backhaul — this is a dual-band device (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz only) and does not offer a dedicated tri-band wireless backhaul channel.
With massive MIMO, optimized OFDM, and more, 5G technologies brings fast responsive network connections to tomorrow's mobile devices, with only 1 ms latency. Enjoy your online streaming, gaming, and AR / VR without congestion.
With advanced 2.5 Gigabit port, Deco X50-5G provides reliable, warp-speed connections for high-intensive wired devices. When it's set as a wireless router, both Ethernet ports support being used as backup broadband access points. Furthermore, two external antenna ports allow external antenna access which can receive 5G/4G signals more effectively, resulting in improved 5G/4G performance.
Traditional broadband or cable installation is expensive and time-consuming for your vacation home, farm, or suburban warehouse. Long contract periods also create headaches for short-rentals, pop-up venues, and temporary shops to access the internet. Deco X50-5G ensures a comfortable and no-block network installation. Plug in your SIM card and enjoy high-speed internet!
