Why this product
1000 Mbps over power lines
HomePlug AV2 standard delivers stable data transmission through household electrical wiring, ideal for streaming and gaming.
Gigabit Ethernet port
Connects bandwidth-heavy devices like set-top boxes or game consoles at full speed without relying on WiFi.
300-meter range
Covers most homes and apartments through existing power circuits, no new infrastructure required.
Plug and play setup
Connect one adapter to your router, plug the second into another room's outlet, press the Pair button, and it works.
Power-Saving mode
Automatically reduces energy use by up to 85% when the connection is idle.

Best for
- Streaming HD and Ultra HD video to rooms far from your router without WiFi buffering.
- Online gaming where a stable, low-latency wired connection matters more than WiFi speed.
- Adding network access to basements, garages, or other areas where WiFi signal is weak or absent.
- Homes and apartments where running network cables or drilling holes is not practical.
- Users who already have HomePlug AV adapters and want a faster upgrade path.
Trade-offs
- Homes with noisy electrical wiring where electrical appliances, power supplies, or faulty circuits degrade powerline signal quality significantly.
- Buildings with multiple electrical panels or circuits where adapters on different circuits cannot communicate reliably.
- Users needing speeds above 1000 Mbps — this kit maxes out at its advertised throughput regardless of conditions.
- Rooms requiring WiFi coverage — each adapter only provides one wired Ethernet port; it does not broadcast WiFi.
Using advanced HomePlug AV2 technology, TL-PA7017 KIT ensures a stable and high-speed wired connection, providing data transmissions of up to 1000 Mbps* over the electrical wiring for ranges up to 300 meters. Stream in HD, game online and download large files without interruption thanks to reliable powerline links.
With a Gigabit Ethernet port, TL-PA7017 KIT allows users to connect a bandwidth intensive device to the Internet with high speeds and ensure the smooth transmission of Ultra HD video streaming. This makes the TL-PA7017 KIT the perfect home entertainment companion.
Connect a powerline adapter to the router, plug another powerline adapter into a wall socket in another room, and you're done! Press the "Pair" button on each adapter to create a more secure network.
TL-PA7017 KIT, a new-generation of powerline adapter, with its practical design and sophisticated Power-Saving Mode, will automatically switch from its regular "Working" mode to "Power-Saving" mode reducing its energy consumption by up to 85%*^
No need for extra wires or drilling, TL-PA7017 KIT extends your gigabit network to every room via your home's existing electrical wiring.
*Actual data will vary in different network conditions and environments.
*Compatible with all HomePlug AV and AV2 Standard Powerline adapters. This product may not be compatible with routers or gateways with firmware that has been altered, is based on open source programs, or are non-standard or outdated.
