TP-Link TL-SG1024 24-Port Gigabit Rackmount Switch
The TP-Link TL-SG1024 is an unmanaged 24-port Gigabit switch designed for small to medium businesses upgrading from slower networks to 1000 Mbps. It requires no configuration—plug in your cables and it works—and uses energy-efficient technology to keep power costs low.
Why this product
24 Gigabit ports, plug and play
All ports auto-negotiate between 10, 100, and 1000 Mbps, so you can mix older and newer devices without crossover cables. Auto MDI/MDIX means the cable type doesn't matter.
48 Gbps switching capacity
Non-blocking architecture forwards packets at full wire speed with 10 KB jumbo frames for faster large file transfers.
Fanless and energy-efficient
Uses only 13.6 W maximum and adjusts power draw based on link activity, cutting both running costs and noise.
19-inch rackmount ready
Fits standard server racks with a compact 1.7-inch depth and includes a steel mounting case.

- Works with 10, 100, and 1000 Mbps Ethernet devices on the same network without reconfiguration.
- Accepts standard UTP category 5, 5e or above cable up to 100 meters per IEEE standards.
- Mains powered via 100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz input with no external power brick required.
- Not a managed switch—no web interface, CLI, or SNMP for advanced traffic control or monitoring.
- No PoE on any port; devices must be powered separately.
Best for
- Small offices upgrading from 10/100 networks to Gigabit
- Budget-conscious deployments where management features are not needed
- Server rooms and data closets where low heat and silent operation matter
- Environments requiring standard-compliant Ethernet with no vendor lock-in
Trade-offs
- Managed networks requiring traffic prioritization or monitoring. This switch offers no QoS configuration interface (QoS tagging is read-only on V11+).
- Power-constrained edge devices. It has no PoE output—powered devices need their own power source.
- Very large deployments. The 8K MAC address table may be too small for networks with thousands of devices.
- Applications requiring redundancy or failover. No ring topology, RSTP, or LACP support.
The TL-SG1024 Gigabit Ethernet Switch provides you with a high-performance, low-cost, easy-to-use, seamless and standard upgrade to improve old network to 1000Mbps network. All 24 ports support auto MDI/MDIX, no need to worry about the cable type, simply plug and play. Moreover, with the innovative energy-efficient technology, the TL-SG1024 can save power consumption, making it an eco-friendly solution for your business network. This new generation TL-SG1024 Gigabit Switch features the latest innovative energy-efficient technologies that can greatly expand your network capacity with much less power. It automatically adjusts power consumption according to the link status to limit the carbon footprint of your network.
All 24 ports are Gigabit RJ-45 ports which can provide large file transferring and also be compatible with 10Mbps and 100Mbps Ethernet devices. Featuring non-blocking switching architecture, TL-SG1024 forwards and filters packets at full wire-speed for maximum throughput. With 10KB Jumbo frame, the performance of large files transfers is improved significantly. And IEEE 802.3x flow control for Full Duplex mode and backpressure for Half Duplex mode alleviate the traffic congestion and make The TL-SG1024 work reliably. It's a perfect choice to update your network to Gigabit while protecting your previous investment properly.
The auto features of this gigabit switch make installation plug and play and hassle-free. No configuring is required. Auto MDI/MDIX eliminates the need for crossover cables. Auto-negotiation on each port senses the link speed of a network device (10, 100, or 1000 Mbps) and intelligently adjusts for compatibility and optimal performance.
