Trade-offs
- High-bandwidth applications. Fast Ethernet (100 Mbps) ceiling makes it unsuitable for video surveillance streams, large file transfers, or modern mesh networks requiring Gigabit throughput.
- High-power devices. 12W output limits its use to low-power Ubiquiti products; devices drawing more than 0.5A at 24V will not function.
- Gigabit-capable equipment. Explicitly not compatible with Gigabit LAN ports; forced downgrade to 100 Mbps max.
