The Ubiquiti POE-24-12W-G-WH is a 24V passive PoE injector designed to power Ubiquiti networking devices over standard Ethernet cable. It combines surge and clamping protection with a Gigabit LAN port, making it suitable for outdoor installations and remote locations where equipment protection is essential.

It protects against electrostatic discharge with difference and common mode surge protection, plus 60V power clamping and 11V data clamping to safeguard connected devices.
Gigabit Ethernet passthrough
It maintains full data rates while injecting power on pins 4, 5 and 3, 6, 7, 8, letting devices communicate and receive power simultaneously.
Wall-mountable design
It can be mounted directly to a wall or pole using optional brackets, keeping installation tidy and keeping cable runs short in outdoor deployments.
Remote reset and local button
It includes both a physical reset button and remote reset capability, allowing you to restart connected equipment without climbing to the installation site.

Trade-offs
- High-power devices: supplies only 12W; any equipment needing more than 0.5A at 24V requires a higher-wattage injector.
- Non-Ubiquiti or generic PoE devices: compatibility is optimised for Ubiquiti product lines and may not work reliably with third-party equipment.
- Environments above 40°C ambient temperature: the unit is rated only to 0–40°C operating temperature, limiting use in very hot climates.
- Installations without surge protection at the source: while it provides downstream protection, it does not replace surge protection on the AC mains inlet.
