- Requires PoE+ power injector or switch capable of delivering 37–57V DC at up to 14W.
- Connects via standard 10/100 Mbps Ethernet. Works with existing network infrastructure but benefits from Ubiquiti UniFi switches and controllers.
- IR illumination requires at least 60 cm clearance from the top and sides of the camera to avoid reflections and hot spots.
- Not suitable for underwater or fully submerged installations; IP66 rating covers water jets and dust only.

Trade-offs
- High-speed pursuit. Maximum frame rate is 30 FPS, which may miss rapid motion or forensic detail in fast-moving scenes.
- Extreme zoom requirements. 2x optical zoom is modest; digital zoom trades resolution. Scenes requiring 10x magnification need a different platform.
- Audio recording as a primary function. Integrated microphone can be disabled and captures only what the onboard mic picks up; no audio amplification or line-in.
- Budget-constrained single-camera setups. The camera's value lies in AI detection and multi-camera orchestration; a fixed camera may be less expensive for simple storage monitoring.
