ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQ 27" QHD 165Hz IPS HDR Monitor
The ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQ is a 27-inch gaming monitor built for competitive players and content creators who need high refresh rates, sharp image quality, and tear-free performance. Its 165Hz IPS panel with 1ms response time delivers smooth motion and vivid colours, while G-SYNC compatibility ensures fluid gameplay across supported titles.
Why this product
165Hz IPS with 1ms response time
High refresh rate and fast pixel switching combine to reduce motion blur and input lag, making it responsive enough for fast-paced games while maintaining colour accuracy.
QHD resolution (2560×1440)
77% more screen space than standard 1080p, delivering sharper text and larger workspace for multitasking without dropping to lower refresh rates.
NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible
Eliminates tearing and stuttering by synchronising the display refresh to your graphics card output, using industry-standard variable refresh rate.
HDR10 support
Extended brightness and colour range beyond standard displays, making highlights brighter and shadows more detailed in supported content.
Full ergonomic adjustment
Swivel, tilt, pivot and height adjustment (130mm range) allow precise positioning for comfortable extended viewing and reduced neck strain.

Trade-offs
- Casual users on a tight budget: Premium gaming features and QHD resolution command a higher price than entry-level 1080p monitors.
- AMD FreeSync-only systems: G-SYNC compatibility is certified for NVIDIA cards; AMD systems can use Adaptive-Sync but miss vendor-optimised sync features.
- HDR photography work: HDR10 support is present, but brightness peaks at 350 cd/m², limiting headroom for professional colour grading compared to dedicated HDR monitors.
