Dell UltraSharp U4924DW 49" Curved 5K Dual QHD IPS Monitor
The Dell UltraSharp U4924DW 49" Curved 5K Dual QHD IPS Monitor is a 49-inch curved ultrawide display designed for professionals who need the equivalent of two 27" QHD screens in a single panel. Its IPS Black panel delivers a 2000:1 contrast ratio and wide 178°/178° viewing angles, while a built-in 2.5GbE port and USB-C with up to 90W power delivery reduce desk clutter for laptop-centric workflows.
Why this product
IPS Black panel at 2000:1 contrast
The IPS Black panel technology produces deeper blacks than standard IPS panels while maintaining wide viewing angles of 178° horizontal and 178° vertical.
5120 × 1440 dual-QHD across 49 inches
The 32:9 aspect ratio and 5120 × 1440 resolution effectively replicate two 27" QHD monitors side by side, with software partitioning for up to five window layouts via Dell Display Manager.
USB-C delivers up to 90W while carrying video
A single USB-C cable connects a compatible laptop, transmits DisplayPort 1.4 video, and charges the host at up to 90W — eliminating a separate power adapter for many laptops.
Built-in 2.5GbE with PXE boot and Wake-on-LAN
The RJ45 port provides up to 2.5 Gb Ethernet directly from the monitor, with IT-friendly features including PXE boot, Mac Address pass-through, and Wake-on-LAN.
Broad color coverage: 100% sRGB, 98% DCI-P3
Color coverage spans 100% sRGB, 100% REC.709, 98% DCI-P3, and 98% Display P3, making it suitable for color-critical review work alongside everyday productivity tasks.
EPEAT Gold, EnergyStar, and recycled materials
The chassis uses 85% post-consumer recyclable plastic and 90% recycled aluminum. The monitor carries EPEAT® Gold registration, TCO Certified Edge, and EnergyStar® compliance, and packaging is 90% recyclable cardboard.

- Connects to any laptop or desktop with a USB-C port supporting DisplayPort Alternate Mode for full video + power delivery over a single cable.
- Accepts HDMI input from two sources simultaneously (HDCP 2.2 compliant), suitable for dual-PC setups or gaming consoles alongside a workstation.
- DisplayPort 1.4 input (HDCP 2.2) is compatible with desktop graphics cards and workstations that output full 5120 × 1440 resolution.
- USB-C power delivery is up to 90W; laptops requiring more than 90W of charging current will need a separate power adapter alongside the USB-C connection.
- VESA mounting is supported at 100 × 100 mm and 200 × 100 mm; verify your arm or wall bracket supports one of these patterns before removing the included stand.
- Refresh rate is fixed at 60 Hz — this display is not intended for high-frame-rate gaming that benefits from 120 Hz or higher.
Best for
- Multi-app knowledge workers who want the screen real estate of two 27" QHD monitors without managing two separate stands, cables, or display inputs.
- Laptop users on a single-cable desk setup — one USB-C cable delivers video, data hub functionality, and up to 90W of charging to a compatible laptop.
- IT-managed office environments that need 2.5GbE, PXE boot, Mac Address pass-through, and Wake-on-LAN from the monitor itself, reducing the need for a separate dock.
- Color reviewers and content approvers working in sRGB, REC.709, or DCI-P3 color spaces who need verified coverage without a dedicated color-grading display.
- Organizations with sustainability targets, given its EPEAT® Gold registration, recycled-material construction, and EnergyStar® compliance.
Trade-offs
- High-refresh-rate gamers: the panel is rated at 60 Hz, which is below the 120 Hz or higher refresh rates that competitive gaming monitors offer.
- Users needing faster pixel response: the 5 ms response time is adequate for productivity but slower than the 1–2 ms panels found on dedicated gaming displays.
- Compact or space-constrained desks: at 121.49 cm wide and 16.3 kg with the stand, this monitor requires a deep, wide desk surface and a bench rated for the weight.
- Buyers with tight brightness requirements: the panel's 350 cd/m² brightness is standard for an office environment but may not satisfy users who need higher output for brightly lit rooms.
Experience uninterrupted productivity on the world's first 49-inch dual QHD monitor with IPS Black panel technology.
One screen or two: Obtain seamless, multi-screen productivity with two 27" QHD partition capabilities complemented with exceptional color and contrast.

Work comfortably all day long by tilting, swiveling and adjusting your monitor height to however best fits you.
Environmental standards: This monitor uses 85% PCR (Post-consumer Recyclable) plastic in the design, 90% recycled aluminum and meets the latest environmental standards such as EnergyStar®, and TCO Certified Edge, and is EPEAT® Gold registered.
Eco-conscious packaging: Designed with the environment in mind, Dell commercial monitors come in 90% recyclable cardboard packaging.
Energy conservation: Save energy with PowerNap, a feature that dims or puts your monitor to sleep when it's not in use.
Maximize productivity: Easy Arrange tiles apps across screens with pre-set partitions and customizes up to five windows, enhancing multitasking.
