MSI MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50 27" QHD 500Hz Gaming Monitor
The MSI MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50 is a 27-inch QHD gaming monitor built for competitive and enthusiast PC gamers who need both speed and image fidelity. It pairs a 3rd-generation QD-OLED panel with a 500Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time, reducing motion blur and ghosting during fast-paced gameplay. Console gamers are also supported through HDMI 2.1 ports with VRR and ALLM.
Why this product
500Hz refresh rate with 0.03ms response
At 500Hz, each frame arrives every 2ms, and the 0.03ms (GtG) response time keeps motion sharp with minimal ghosting during fast gameplay.
3rd-gen QD-OLED panel with wide colour coverage
The QD-OLED panel covers 99% DCI-P3 and meets the Delta E ≤ 2 colour accuracy standard, producing vivid, consistent colour across content types.
DisplayHDR True Black 500 and 1,500,000:1 contrast
VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification and a 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio mean deep blacks and a 1000-nit peak brightness in HDR content.
HDMI 2.1 for console gaming
Two HDMI 2.1 ports provide up to 48Gbps bandwidth, supporting 120Hz, VRR and ALLM for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
OLED Care 2.0 and 3-year burn-in warranty
MSI OLED Care 2.0 actively reduces the risk of panel burn-in, backed by a 3-year warranty that explicitly covers OLED burn-in.
Full ergonomic adjustment range
The stand supports height (0–110mm), tilt (−5° to 20°), swivel (−30° to 30°) and pivot (−90° to 90°) adjustments for flexible desk setups.

- No built-in speakers — audio requires the 3.5mm headphone output or a separate audio solution.
Best for
- Competitive PC gamers who prioritise frame-rate headroom — the 500Hz panel and 0.03ms response time reduce motion blur at the highest frame rates.
- Content creators and designers who need colour accuracy — 99% DCI-P3 coverage and Delta E ≤ 2 accuracy meet professional colour standards on the same panel used for gaming.
- Console gamers who also game on PC — two HDMI 2.1 ports and a DisplayPort 1.4a input allow switching between platforms without a KVM switch.
- HDR enthusiasts who want true blacks — the OLED panel's per-pixel dimming and 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio produce a quality of HDR that LCD-based monitors cannot replicate.
- Users concerned about burn-in — OLED Care 2.0 combined with a 3-year burn-in warranty reduces both the risk and the financial exposure of panel degradation.
Trade-offs
- Buyers who need high SDR brightness — SDR brightness is rated at 300 nits, which may appear dim in bright office or room environments.
- Users who rely on USB hub functionality — the monitor provides no USB-A downstream ports; peripheral connectivity must come from elsewhere.
- Those who need a large screen — the active display area is 26.5 inches; buyers wanting 32 inches or above should look at other models.
- Static-content workstation users — OLED panels carrying static elements (taskbars, watermarks) for extended periods carry a higher burn-in risk than IPS or VA panels, even with OLED Care 2.0.
