TP-Link TL-SG105PE 5-Port Gigabit PoE+ Switch 65W
The TP-Link TL-SG105PE is a 5-port gigabit switch designed for small businesses, offices, and surveillance deployments that need to power PoE devices like IP cameras and access points from a single unit. It combines four PoE+ ports with one standard gigabit port, delivering 65 W of shared PoE power across the powered ports.
Why this product
4 PoE+ ports, 65 W budget
Each of the four PoE ports supplies up to 30 W to compatible devices. The 65 W total budget supports multiple cameras, access points, or IP phones simultaneously.
QoS and VLAN for traffic control
Built-in quality-of-service rules protect voice and video traffic from lag. VLAN support divides the network into smaller groups for security and better performance.
No moving parts, metal chassis
Fanless design means silent operation. A metal casing protects internal components and extends service life.
10 Gbps switching capacity
Internal fabric handles up to 10 Gbps of simultaneous traffic between all ports, preventing bottlenecks in mixed PoE and wired setups.
Web-based management
Monitor traffic, adjust QoS rules, and configure VLANs without specialist networking skills. Easy Smart interface runs in any browser.

- Powers any 802.3af or 802.3at PoE device rated up to 30 W per port: IP cameras, wireless access points, IP phones, and PoE-powered sensors.
- Works with non-PoE devices: PCs, printers, network-attached storage, and IPTV boxes connect to any of the five gigabit ports.
- Supports Cat3, Cat4, Cat5, Cat5e, and Cat6 cabling. Standard RJ45 connectors fit all Ethernet cables.
- PoE power is shared across ports 1–4 within a 65 W total budget. Four simultaneous 30 W devices will max out the supply; you cannot exceed 65 W even if individual ports are capable of it.
Best for
- Surveillance installers running four or fewer IP cameras from one unit without separate PoE injectors.
- Small offices or dorms needing to power a mix of access points and phones while keeping cable runs short.
- Budget-conscious deployments where a managed switch is overkill but basic traffic control and monitoring are wanted.
- Silent, reliable environments where fan noise must be eliminated and uptime matters more than advanced features.
Trade-offs
- High-power PoE clusters. If you need more than 65 W total or devices requiring higher per-port budgets, a larger PoE switch is necessary.
- Rack installations. The compact tabletop form factor (99.8 × 98 × 25 mm) has no mounting holes and no rack ears; it sits beside or under a desk.
- Enterprise or heavily monitored networks. SNMP, syslog, and advanced logging are not supported. This is an Easy Smart device, not a fully managed switch.
- Redundancy or stacking requirements. No link aggregation or ring topology support; intended for simple linear or star topologies.
The TL-SG105PE is fully compatible with PoE devices, such as IP cameras, access points, and IP phones. It also works with non-PoE wired devices, such as PCs, printers, and IPTV.
Compliance with the 802.3af/at PoE+ standard supports up to 30 W on each PoE port. The total 65 W PoE power budget* for the 4× gigabit PoE+ ports makes it has a wide range of applications, such as surveillance, offices, dormitories, and small businesses. It is fully compatible with IP cameras, access points, IP phones, computers, printers, and etc.
Ensures a better network experience, especially for applications like IPTV, by optimizing multimedia traffic delivery.
Helps to create a network with higher security and better overall performance by dividing the network into smaller groups. TL-SG105PE offers network monitoring for users to observe traffic behavior. Through its web-based user interface and management utility, the TL-SG105PE offers a variety of useful features, including network monitoring, traffic prioritization, and enhanced QoS.
The interior components of TL-SG105PE are protected by a high-quality metal casing to ensure a long product life. Having passed an array of stringent reliability tests, TL-SG105PE delivers switching performance you can depend on.
