The Ubiquiti UniFi Flex Mini 2.5G is a palm-sized five-port 2.5 Gigabit managed switch, model USW-Flex-2.5G-5. Ubiquiti's own port diagram shows four 2.5 GbE RJ45 ports plus a fifth 2.5 GbE port that accepts PoE in, so the switch can take its power from the same cable that feeds it data — or from USB-C, or an external supply. It is managed through UniFi Network alongside the rest of a UniFi estate.

Five 2.5 GbE ports, none of them slower
Every port runs 2.5G, 1G, 100M or 10M, so a 2.5 Gbps access point, NAS or desktop can go in any of them. Ubiquiti labels four as standard ports and the fifth as the 2.5 GbE PoE-in port.
Powered three ways
Take power over Ethernet at 44–57 V through the PoE-in port, over USB-C at 5 V 1 A, or from an external AC/DC supply. On PoE, one cable does power and data.
Very small, very low draw
117.1 × 90 × 21.2 mm and 206 g in a polycarbonate shell, drawing a maximum of 5 W on an external supply or 6.4 W over PoE.
25 Gbps switching capacity
Ubiquiti rates it at 25 Gbps switching capacity, 12.5 Gbps of non-blocking throughput and a 19 Mpps forwarding rate, with a 4,000-entry MAC address table.

- This is the five-port model, USW-Flex-2.5G-5. The eight-port USW-Flex-2.5G-8, which adds a 10G SFP+ / 10 GbE combination port, is a different product.
Best for
- Adding 2.5 Gigabit ports behind a desk, a TV or an AV rack where a full switch will not fit.
- Existing UniFi sites, since it is managed from the same UniFi Network console as everything else.
- Locations with Ethernet but no power socket — it will run on PoE from an upstream switch.
- Multi-gig clients such as 2.5 GbE access points, NAS boxes and modern desktops.
Trade-offs
- Anyone needing a 10 Gigabit uplink: Ubiquiti lists five 2.5 GbE ports on this model and no SFP+ cage. The eight-port USW-Flex-2.5G-8 is the one with the 10G combination port.
- Powering cameras or access points from the switch: Ubiquiti publishes no PoE output figures for this model.
- Standalone use: this is a UniFi device, managed through UniFi Network 8.6.9 or later.
- More than five devices: five ports, and one of them is likely to be the feed from upstream.
