The Ubiquiti USW-Flex-Mini-3 UniFi 5-Port Switch 3-Pack is a value-oriented bundle of three compact, Layer 2 managed Gigabit switches suited to small offices, home labs, and distributed network deployments where multiple access points are needed. Each unit solves the problem of adding wired Gigabit connectivity in space-constrained locations, accepting power from either an 802.3af/at PoE uplink or a 5V USB-C adapter — no dedicated power outlet required in most cases. Note that USB-C power adapters are not included in the 3-Pack.

Flexible PoE or USB-C power input
Each switch can draw power directly from a PoE-capable uplink port (802.3af/at) or via a 5V, 1A USB-C adapter, making placement near an outlet optional. Note that USB-C adapters are not bundled with the 3-Pack.
Five Gigabit RJ45 ports per unit
Four standard GbE ports plus one GbE PoE input port deliver 10/100/1000 Mbps links to connected devices, with a total non-blocking throughput of 5 Gbps per switch.
10 Gbps switching capacity
Each switch delivers 10 Gbps switching capacity and a forwarding rate of 7.44 Mpps, allowing all ports to operate simultaneously at line rate without packet loss.
Compact, fanless desktop form factor
At 107.16 × 70.15 × 21.17 mm and 150 g per unit, these switches fit discreetly on a desk, shelf, or behind a monitor without generating fan noise.
UniFi centralised management
Each switch is managed through UniFi Network Controller version 5.12.5 or higher, allowing configuration, monitoring, and VLAN management alongside other UniFi devices.

Supports up to 1,000 VLANs per switch for network segmentation, though only port-based VLANs are supported — 802.1X, SSH, and STP are not.

Trade-offs
- Networks requiring 802.1X port authentication — this feature is explicitly not supported on this model.
- Deployments needing tagged VLAN (802.1Q) support — only port-based VLANs are available; tagged trunking between switches is not supported.
- Installations requiring STP loop protection — STP operates in forwarding-only mode and is not fully supported.
- Buyers expecting USB-C adapters in the box — the 3-Pack explicitly does not include power adapters; they must be sourced separately if PoE is unavailable.
- High-port-count requirements — with only 5 ports per unit (one of which is the PoE input uplink), each switch provides just 4 usable downstream ports.
